Apple Pie from Orchard Apples

Time to gather the kids and have them pitch in..we have APPLE PIE to make. Take that trip to the Orchard pick up some good looking apples BUT be sure to come back here for the recipe =)

 What You Need

8 cups Thin Cut Apples
3/4 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Butter
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
2tsp Flour
Dash of Nutmeg
1 Pre-made package of Pie Crust
Lemon juice to splash the apples


Directions


Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Core, peel, and slice apples measure out to 8 cups


Mix together sugar, cinnamon, flour,and nutmeg


Splash apples w/ lemon juice and line them in the pie crust


W/ each layer sprinkle the sugar mixture over top and dab w/ butter


Cover w/ top pie crust, cut slits, and place tin foil along the sides till the last 15 min of baking.


Spread some butter across the top and sprinkle w/ the sugar mixture



Place on lowest rack and bake for 10 minutes, after 10 minutes turn heat to 350 and cook for another 30-35 minutes depending on your stove




Super easy to make, kid friendly and amazingly good!

So can you make me one of those and ship them to me? LOL! I am not so good at making things with more than 3 ingredients! It does look amazing though. Maybe I will have to run to the store and buy one now. Oh yeah, I am lazy!

Why noyt make homemade pie crust its easy

@Darren I did try but I was not happy with the way it turned out so I made the recipe as simple as I could and if people want homemade crust I'm sure they will make it =) This recipe was for mainly people who don't have time to roll out crust. One day I'll try the crust again. I'm far from a baker, just looking out for the families with not enough time in a day. =)
