Help Me Wednesday

White House, Black Shutters

I have another update from the Dining Room make-over

I FELT LIKE SOMETHING STILL WASN'T RIGHT
AND FELT THIS DESK WAS CLUTTER AND MAKING THE ROOM DARKER
SOOOO

SO I REMOVED THE TOP HALF
NOW THE LIGHT CAN COME IN THROUGH THE WINDOW

Now on to the UGLY bathroom

THIS IS THE NASTY FLOOR AS OF NOW
But I'm thinking this..what do you think?

YES!!! I like both, but option number two looks more like ceramic and less like vinyl. I was excited when I saw the picture on the link party, haha!

Great idea on removing the top! We have a great bookshelf in our entryway, but I'm thinking it's holding too much clutter and may be time to let go.

Thanks for linking up to Help Me Wednesday! ;)

So much better without the top!

I like the bottom tile. Though we were told that if you use a bigger pattern it makes the room seem bigger. Dunno if it's true, just passing it on...

Removing clutter always opens the room up, and removing from in front of the window does help pull more light into your yellow dining room (which I love by the way).

I'm torn on the selection for flooring. I think it depends on if you want a more vintage/50's feel (top) or a more modern southern country feel (bottom) but that just may be where the tiles are pulling my mind to.

My favorite is the 2nd choice floor!

The desk does look much better without the topper. You can see the window now and let in more light! Nice job.
I like choice #2 also because it looks less like vinyl flooring.

Oooh, I like option #2! So glad you're springing for new flooring. I'm sure you'll love it! (Hey, it can't get worse, right?!)

Looks great! I looooove that you opened up that window, after being hidden by the desk hutch! I am big on windows! Where I live the homes have 12 foot ceilings and huge windows! Natural light has a way of making rooms look larger and better!

and I like the second one too! I am not into the little squares in between the larger ones on the first one, I just think it looks a little dated.
