HS Mothers Journal

The Homeschool Chick

In my life this week...

We have been potty training and that is going GREAT. I'm glad I waited because she picked it up quickly and saved me the stress of pulling my hair out. The husband has been sick and I feel it creeping in on the rest of us. I've had enough of the sick bug, it needs to start passing my house.

In our homeschool this week...

We worked on the letter S. There were lots of fun activities to choose from so it made it hard to only pick a few. Since she learned the letter so quick we started projects for letter T today.

Places we're going & people we're seeing...

I have nothing lined up for them. Were saving for a vacation in 12 weeks for the kids birthdays. Plus it's cold and I don't want to take the kids out in it. I might just be lazy.

My favorite thing this week was...

Making bath paint!. I have no pictures of it because I want the kids to test it first before I share it with everyone else (just in case)

What's working/not working for us...

ALPHIE!! Any time Heaven has a hard time with a letter , I put him in front of her and she learns it with no problem.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

Have you started planning your curriculum for next year?

A photo to share...

We made frozen stars and put them in ziplock bags so we could make them melt and turn into colored water.

Hooray for the potty training! I must admit that I don't miss those days. :) I HAVE started planning our curriculum for next year already. I haven't bought anything yet, but I have plans swirling in the back of my brain constanly.

Your frozen stars look like so much fun. What a great idea for little ones!

Thanks for joining me on the journey today.

Blessings,
Sue :)

I'm thinking back on the potty training days.
Now, teaching my five year old to be interested in reading is like potty training all over again! LOL
I'll have to check into Alphie.

I'm here from Sue's link up. It's nice to meet ya!
