 The Homeschool Chick

In my life this week...

I found the sweet cabin we will be staying in when we visit the Smoky Mountains in April (72 more days)
In our homeschool this week...

We worked on the letter U and some super fun Science experiments.

Places we're going and people we're seeing...

Heaven has Gymnastics on Thursdays and JJ will be here on Saturday for the weekend. Heaven loves when her brother comes over. We see him the 1st,2nd, and 4th weekend every month.

My favorite thing this week was...

I bought my ticket for the HOTM Online Conference!

What's working/not working for us...

Having class M-F for 3 hours a day seemed to be to much for Heaven so I cut it down to Mon-Wed for an hour and Sunday is for Science projects. Working great, next year I'll move it to 2 hours b/c I will have TJ in the class as well.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

How many of you are attending a Homeschool Conference in the next upcoming months?

A photo to share...

We love messy faces!

Hope you have a wonderful vacation. We stayed in a cabin in Sevierville, TN, which was also in the mountains, and it was so peaceful. I must admit, I was a little scared that we might see a bear. Visiting from HMJ.

Sweet photo! Great idea of doing science on the weekend.
Such a cute photo! We love messy faces around here, too! (Although, they aren't quite as cute on teens as they were when they were younger. lol)

I'll be attending a Midwest HS Convention this year for the second time. I loved it last year! Funny enough it took me ten years of homeschooling to make it to my first conference. We make it a long weekend and really enjoy it to the fullest.

Stopped by from WildCrickets!

The Smokey's is such a beautiful place to visit. Have you been before? My oldest daughter did the Jr. Ranger program when we went a few years ago and we all learned with her.
We aren't planning to go to a homeschool conference this year, so the online ones seem even more valuable. I hope we can go to the big one in Memphis next year.

Cute photo! We have lots of messy faces here, too. Homeschool conferences are great, but the online ones can be so much more convenient! :)
